What is a Landing Page?
A landing page is the single page of a website, usually the only page, that a user has arrived at by clicking on a search result, post, or advertisement. The landing page usually contains a high-resolution photo of a model, scene, property, or product, as well as a logo, and a contact form with a call to action requesting that the user input their information to learn more. The lead is then captured by the database so that the user can be contacted at a later time. Upon contact, if the user agrees to buy the product or service, you’ve turned your lead into a conversion. Having lots of landing pages scattered around the Internet, and in many search results, can land you quite a few leads.
The choices for building landing pages are much the same as with building full-websites. You can build a custom landing page with specific functions and a unique design, or you can use something like Unbounce or WordPress, and implement a templatized solution where speed and cost are the primary concern.
